Two more followers, huzzah! Sorry this one is uploaded so late, Mr. and Ms. Internet. My temporary illustration gig is keeping me busy during the day.
I actually laughed while drawing Ugly Girl 13. Trying to make skinny model clothing fit on her Totoro-like body was just ridiculous. Plus the blissfully vacant stare and her equally blissful smile makes grinning unavoidable.
Two new followers hooray! Sorry for the sparsely drawn girl today, I have a week-long illustration gig at my old job, so I won't have that much time to get too fancy.
She didn't turn out as ugly as I had hoped. I think she'd be uglier without the fake lashes and cool glasses (which are supposed to be tortoise shell but I guess that doesn't read very well). Modern science wins again.
It's surprisingly hard to draw an ugly girl without relying on unibrows and bad teeth. Cartoon people already have exaggerated features, so the range of attractiveness is broader in cartoons than it is in real life.
Surprise gentle imaginary readers! Another ugly girl, to make up for the fact that I was supposed to start posting these last week (there was no way you could have known!).
My poor imaginary readers... so gentle... so kept in the dark...
Hello imaginary audience! This is my first ugly girl! Don't expect every ugly girl to be so extravagant, coloring takes a lot of time. The purpose of this exercise is to churn out drawings, so most of the girls will be sketches.
Side benefit of this project: finding the names for the things that girls wear. Liquid leggings? Crazy.
